Connection Session with Sarah & Ben
These photoshoots are what you might traditionally call an engagement photoshoot. But many of the engagement photoshoot I do here in Melbourne I call connection sessions because that is what I am photographing. Indeed, that is what I spend most of the time doing with couples – stop them from thinking about the camera and more about being connected with each other. As a Melbourne Wedding Photographer it’s a joy to spend more time with couples and getting them to think about each other and not the camera.
Here is what Sarah wrote me:
Sadly we met on Tinder (yes, lame story). In saying that, we were both encouraged/forced to join by friends to move on from our ex-partners. We both had VERY low expectations and Ben almost decided to simply not show up (what an arsehole!!). However, I must admit, I’d almost forgotten to turn up because he’d deleted the app a week before we met so I’d made at least another 50 matches in that time as I became drunk with tinder power!!! (No dates though, just matches lol) His profile simply said ‘french chef living in Melbourne’ and I thought, he must be interesting, he’s French! But our online conversation was incredibly boring and I had very little interest in him besides thinking he seemed like a normal person and could possibly cook me some food. So it was a pleasant surprise that we had so much in common. We’ve now been together just over 2.5years and he cooks me food all the time!! Winner!!
I think the internet is amazing. and You might be surprised by just how effective Tinder is. But do not swipe right…instead scroll down.
