Check out this heart-felt garden wedding of Donna & Heath at Pioneer Womens Memorial Garden Melbourne
As a Melbourne wedding photographer it’s not everyday that I get the chance to give back – to give back to people in need. So when a friend and colleague Charis White approached me about doing a love-job I said yes without a second thought. Charis mentioned that she had been approached by a mother with a very sick child with brain cancer that wanted to get married but was finding it tough. The family were going through a difficult time and I heard a little about the details. Enough said…I’m in!
Why we do what we do and why that is enough
I feel lucky to be able to make a living from being creative. From finding moments in peoples lives that capture who they are as people and how they connect with each other. I love my job. I get to see the best of people. To uplift and to be uplifted. And I know from experience that there is nothing stronger than the love of a mother for a child. Nothing. I know this to be true because I have a mother, and lucky enough to see it every time I photograph a mother with her children. It does not matter what their background. They can be rich or poor, big or small, tall, short, black, white, hell…they can even be another species…the love is always the same.
Here I invite you to join this moment of every-lasting love of people in this ordinary and impermanent life.
Along with myself were a bunch of good-hearted wedding vendors.
